How do I check out books from the library? All students are automatically entered into the library computer as soon as they are enrolled. All you have to do is come to the library and tell me you want to check out books. Parents can also check out books, tool . Just ask Mrs. Moon to set you up with a library account.
How many books can I check out? Kindergarten may get one book at the beginning of the year. After they earn stickers for returning their books on time, they will be able to get two books. First -sixth grade students can check out two books at a time. They earn a third book by bringing their books back on time and in good condition. More books may be checked out for special assignments.
How long can I keep books? Most books are checked out for two weeks. Many books can be renewed for two more weeks. Some of the current Bluebonnet titles have a shorter checkout time, due to their popularity and length of the book. Check the back of the book for this information.
What if I don't turn my books in on time? The library does NOT charge overdue fines! BUT, you cannot check out any new books until the old ones are turned in, or paid for if you can't find them.
How much do books cost if I can't find them and have to pay for them?
The library charges replacement cost + a $1.00 processing fee. The average cost of a book is $18.00. Graphic titles are often $25.00.
